The contrast, color and brightness automatically adjust on the 3.5 inch LCD screen of the K-Source Vision System - Rear-Mount Camera and Rear-View Mirror Display Monitor # KSVS-8, but as far as the mirror portion is concerned it does not have a dimmer setting for use at night that you would use to make headlights behind you less bright.

This K-Source Extendable Rearview Mirror # KSRM012 has a convex shape to the mirror which will alter the depth perception of things behind you slightly. The reason for this is to give you a wider angle for viewing.

I went out to the warehouse and pulled a CIPA Custom Towing Mirror, Driver Side, # 10901, to measure how far the mirror portion is beyond the factory mirror on a 2010 Chevy Suburban. From the edge of the opening where the end of your factory mirror will be to the end of the glass it is 5 inches. To the center of the glass it is about 2-1/2 to 3 inches.
